The wolf was exterminated in Catalonia in the mid XIX century. Since then, the wolf is considered as extinct in Catalonia.

Lately, however, a new presence of Canis lupus has been detected.

Fundació Fauna presents the Projecte Llop, to achieve that the Catalan government, the Generalitat de Catalunya, consider the wolf as a species that is de facto again present in Catalonia and to declare it a species protected by law.

To be able to present a request to modify the law to the parliament, it is necessary to obtain the support of many people, which is why Fundació Fauna asks for the support of private persons as well as associations to achieve this objective.
